An AI factory is a data center built for training and inference: very high-density GPU racks, liquid cooling, capacity in tens or hundreds of megawatts. Vendors now ship factory-built modules. The building goes faster. The grid does not.

FOUR ISSUES THAT SET THE TIMELINE

Power. An AI factory is sized first by its connectable capacity, date and phasing. See grid connection engineering.

Density. Racks above 100 kW change power distribution, protection, floor loading and maintenance.

Cooling. Direct-to-chip liquid is becoming standard: architecture, water temperature, residual air share, water use and waste heat.

Commissioning. More tightly coupled systems, tougher testing, and an operations team to train before customers arrive.

WHAT WE DO

For the owner Feasibility: power, site, cooling, permits
Design review: power distribution, backup, liquid cooling, redundancy
Owner-side support facing the designer and contractors
Grid connection: RTE or Enedis requests, phasing, temporary power
Commissioning and operational readiness

We are not the designer of record: we work alongside the design firm, on the owner's behalf. See who does what.

WHO IS INVOLVED

Anis Mokded for design, commissioning and operations of AI campuses above 100 MW, Francis Gillard for cooling, Xavier Watrelos for HV grid connection.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is an AI factory?

A data center built for AI training and inference, with very high-density GPU racks, liquid cooling and very high power.

What most limits an AI factory project in France?

Usually the date the grid can deliver power. Factory-built modules speed up the building, not the grid connection.
