Energy compliance, building services and BACS decree
WHAT HE DOES
Geoffrey Garriga is a building services and energy engineer. For more than fifteen years he has designed and managed building projects from design to handover: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, power and low-current systems, building management systems. He works on commercial buildings, public facilities, hotels and housing, in new build as well as refurbishment of occupied sites.
WHAT HE BRINGS TO A DATA CENTER
The French tertiary decree and the OPERAT platform. Commercial buildings over 1,000 m² must cut energy consumption by 40% by 2030, 50% by 2040 and 60% by 2050. Geoffrey analyses how the site actually runs, simulates possible savings and builds action scenarios, including target modulation files where the activity justifies it.
The BACS decree. Since 2025, commercial buildings with heating or cooling systems above 290 kW must have a building automation and control system. He audits existing installations, then designs, sizes and integrates these systems.
Regulatory energy audits, based on actual consumption and dynamic thermal simulation, with a whole-life cost approach.
Design and supervision of technical packages: HVAC, electrical, lighting, security and networks, from feasibility to handover, including specifications, bid analysis and site supervision.
Operation contract oversight: defining service levels, checking delivery and performance commitments over time.
