THE THESISLA THÈSE

I started GridReadiness from one observation: the conversation about AI infrastructure is dominated by compute — GPUs, chips, data center construction costs. The power infrastructure layer — the grid connections, the transformers, the substations — was barely covered, poorly understood and consistently underestimated as a deployment risk.J'ai créé GridReadiness à partir d'une observation : la conversation sur l'infrastructure IA est dominée par le compute — GPU, chips, coûts de construction. La couche infrastructure électrique — raccordements réseau, transformateurs, sous-stations — était à peine couverte, mal comprise, et systématiquement sous-estimée comme risque de déploiement.

In 2026, that gap has closed in the worst possible way. 85% of major player data center projects are delayed or cancelled because of power infrastructure. The US government has declared transformers a national security emergency. Northern Virginia's grid queue stretches 10 years.

France has what the US needs right now: nuclear baseload at €50/MWh, brownfield industrial sites with existing HV connections, and EU transformer manufacturers delivering in 20-32 months. GridReadiness documents this gap and helps developers and investors navigate it.

WHY POWER INFRASTRUCTURE, NOT CHIPSPOURQUOI L'INFRASTRUCTURE ÉLECTRIQUE, PAS LES CHIPS

I am not an electrical engineer. I am a CEO and operational analyst who reads industrial supply chains — which is exactly what the transformer and grid connection market is: an industrial supply chain with long lead times, monopoly risks and geographic constraints that most technology investors do not understand.

At Celerant/Hitachi Consulting, I spent years analyzing industrial bottlenecks for major European groups. The AI power infrastructure crisis is the same analytical problem applied to a new industry: where is the constraint, what is its timeline, and how do you route around it?

The answer — France brownfield sites, EU second-tier transformer manufacturers, nuclear baseload — is available to anyone who looks at the supply chain with the right lens. GridReadiness provides that lens.

WHAT GRIDREADINESS ISCE QU'EST GRIDREADINESS

WHAT GRIDREADINESS IS NOTCE QUE GRIDREADINESS N'EST PAS

I am transparent about this because the boundaries matter. Our intelligence is valuable precisely because it is focused. When a project requires licensed engineering, we say so and we know who to refer to.
